I was a patient of dr Ortez in his other office. I tracked him down to his new place mittleman eye and am extremely happy. He is an excellent doctor with an excellent relationship with his patients. I will be having catarac surgery in the next few weeks wi dr Ortez and he has explained everything to me He is a 5 star dr!!
I called the emergency after hour phone number do to an eye injury. Dr. Ortiz got back with me and listened to my dilemma. he didn't try to rush me off the phone as it was on a Sunday night. He allowed me to text a picture of my eye. He told me to come in the next day at 8:30am. For that I was grateful because it's so hard to get into any doctors that quickly. He was knowledgeable and kind. The office staff is awesome as well.
Dr. Ortiz-Arroyo is a very knowledgable doctor. However, I felt that I was being rushed when I actually got to the doctor. The vast majority of the "work" was done by an Optical Technician. Once dialated, I was taken to the Optical Frame dept. to "look at frames"; which was ludicruous considering I couldn't see a damn thing close up. I felt that I was being hustled. The entire experience was one of a very smooth, very large operation that was high on competence and low on patient warmth.

My appointment was in the West Palm Beach office. It is a very busy office. The front desk let me know how long the appointment would take (it was 15 minutes shorter) and each step I would go through. Dr. Ortiz-Arroyo was thorough and didn't rush through his time with me. He answered all questions I asked.
highly recommend Mittleman Eye! the whole team was very friendly, competent and thorough in detailing what they were doing and what they were seeing.. Check in was fast.and accurate.. The 1st tech Yasmeing answered all my questions. good information from Celia regarding potential cataract issues (none). Dr. Ortiz was thorough and gave me a depth of information so i could make good decisions. i felt he was caring and accurate.. i trusted the meeting.
Dr Ortiz and his staff Jennifer, Joseph, Shayla and Carmen were all so helpful from the moment I arrived and throughout my entire visit. Their professionalism and expertise is evident in how everything was conducted. Dr Ortiz did an outstanding job on my eye procedure and I am very grateful for everyone in this practice.
Outstanding service by the entire staff of Mittleman Eye Center in West Palm Beach, Florida especially Dr. Ortiz, receptionist Ronaivia, technician Tatiana, and Charles at checkout. The office was exceptionally clean and well appointed. The equipment modern and well maintained. Overall , a pleasant and sense of being well cared for from the time of sign in until checkout. Thanks to all at Mittleman Eye Center for a job well done.
I give Dr Ortiz 5 stars. He explains very fully and clear. I'm happy with service of this office.
