I spent about a year shadowing Dr. Chong as a premedical student. I've spent time shadowing many doctors over the past few years as a premedical student and now as a medical student and I can without a doubt say that Dr. Chong is one of the best physicians out there. With supreme knowledge, skill and empathy, Dr Chong exemplifies extraordinary orthopaedic care. He is able to make his patients feel informed about their injuries and the treatments they will be receiving, while also comforting their concerns.
As a former Medical Device rep. who spent hundreds of hours in the OR working with surgeons all across the state, I can say that Dr Chong is one of the best. Some have the surgical skill, few have the caring heart to go with it, he has both.
Dr. Chong takes the extra time to make sure his patient is getting the best patient option, and not just another referral. We recommended a family member to him after losing confidence in the prior doctor. He took the time to explain why the pros and cons, and make a total patient-centered decision.
