Told they were running 20 mins late. Waited over an hour. There were 3 people at the desk, nobody gave me an update. Finally saw his PA, for 10 mins. Twice she went back to get Dr Curtis to meet me. She came out, said I was all set and could leave now. No explanation was given; he just couldn't be bothered I guess. When the office called to schedule the surgery; told them that I couldn't be bothered with him either. They have Celtics & Red Sox jerseys on the walls, they're all about the image,
I had a torn shoulder labrum. A rugby injury so I wanted a sports doc who faced similar. Curtis operated & the scar was 6 ins. Curtis said he didn't see much and placed two anchors in(didn't divulge much). I was surprised as it would come out often. I rehabed for 6 months. First overhead yawn and it popped again. So discouraged. I went to Danbury Ortho and the guy was amazing. Did my Op again and put in 5 anchors and provided a video of the ortho op on DVD showing me everything. Have had 0 issue
Dr. Curtis and his staff are among the most competent and efficient I have ever encountered. He is the pro particularly when it comes to shoulders. Works closely and professionally with his P.A.
I'm a martial artist who came to see Dr Curtis for an old right shoulder injury. Dr Curtis explained the pros and cons so I scheduled surgery. He repaired my shoulder which after 4 weeks of surgery I had pretty much full range of motion and my shoulder is better than what it every was. The pain that I had before surgery is gone and the pain after surgery was very minimal. If anyone is looking for a professional shoulder surgeon that knows his stuff, stop searching, Dr Curtis is your guy
This appears to be an orthopedic surgery factory. The staff is friendly, efficient, and relentless in getting your surgery scheduled. In fact, they won't even let you schedule a visit with Dr Curtis for the first time until you've seen his Physician's Assistant and actually scheduled your surgery! Seriously?? I saw the 20-something PA (nice, but could not read an MRI correctly) and then walked. Another surgeon then did my surgery elsewhere, and professionally .
Based on my two complete shoulder repairs, one done in 2009 and the other in 2011, I highly recommend Dr. Curtis. I have complete mobility in both shoulders and I strongly believe my success was due to his expertise. FIVE STARS
