There is a review below that questions whether this doctor is writing his own reviews. I have the same question after seeing him. The glowing reviews are not consistent with the care. Dr. Purvez is in a very small office and appears to have no nurse or medical assistant. His receptionist, although friendly, polite and well-mannered, makes his telephone calls for him when checking on patient insurance, medical records, and other patient confidential information. Cortisone injection in cervical spine was very very painful and pain continued. Was given cymbalta for relief.

I began seeing Dr. Purvez in 2007 post Laminectomy (back surgery). I had only been pain-free for 10 months after my back surgery and was finally referred to the pain center that he was working at then. He discussed radiofrequency with me and I was terrified. Burning/Killing nerves near my spine sounded terrifying, but the pain was so intense I would have done just about anything. He didn’t want me living on pain meds and I respected that. I would recommend DR.Purvez highly to anyone who is seeking a doctor who will take the time out to listen to your problems and take the proper steps to evaluate you and explain your conditions in a perspective you will understand .I have been seeing DR.Purvez for 3 months and my pain levels are at a manageable level in which I can live and work without the daily struggles of back pain..Great Staff..Great Doctor. Dr. Purvez is very professional & intelligent. Seemed to genuinely care.
Finally found a doctor that listens. He understands that pain doesn't show up on test. If you have a medical condition that is causing so much pain that your quality of life is low then Dr. Purvez is there to help.
I am pleased to recommend Dr. Purvez in the most positive terms. He arranged to see me within two days of referral and treated my spinal pain with skill and concern. The nature of my medical problem requires additional treatment and I have complete confidence in his ability and professionalism.
Honestly I think this doctor must be writing his own reviews because I had the worst experience of my life going to him. He wasn't very pleasant and never examined me and the entire time he talked about the doctors in the area loosing their license. Didn't seem to interested in why I was there.
