Dr. Alkhalil is an absolutely amazing doctor. We had to rush my dad in to Stonybrook hospital when he was experiencing a heart attack. Dr. Allkhalil stayed on top of everything and ensured all the tests were performed on time, and eventually put in two stents to rid the blockage causing the heart attack. Through out this process, he was very patient with me and my family answering all our questions and concerns and especially with my dad and making him very comfortable. Dr. Alkhalil repaired my severe mitral valve prolapse and regurgitation by inserting a MitraClip on the valve using a minimally invasive procedure. He is a very talented cardiologist with a great bedside manner and explains everything very clearly. My procedure was flawless and recovery was just a few hours. Regurgitation symptoms are completely gone. I would unconditionally recommend Dr. Alkhalil and Stony Brook University Hospital to anyone who needs a heart valve repair.
Dr. Alkhalil and his team did an awesome job improving Mom's heart function and overall health. The procedure was done recently so I am seeing improvement in her activity daily. We had an appointment with her regular cardiologist and the PA mentioned that Mom looked the best she had ever seen her.
