Very pleased with Dr. Smarandache. I am overall healthy but have had a few issues here and there. She has always been helpful and responsive. I would imagine it's difficult for doctors when I tell them what I learned online about my health and they have to inform me I'm confused. She's always done so with tact.

When I was undergoing a major health crisis 2 years ago she cleared a spot for me to be seen right away. She always listens carefully to everything I say, asks all the right questions, and feels like a partner in my health care as opposed to an MD simply telling me what to do without taking my feelings and thoughts into account. I feel a true rapport with this doctor and speaking with her is so easy. I’m glad I found her and am very happy with both her and the staff in this office.

She is one if the most unconcerned Dr’s I’ve ever encountered. I was diagnosed with a life threatening disorder. Called by the swictboard and informed coldly. I had to call and ask what’s next May I at least get a referral? I was experiencing pain, was told to go to the ER received no plan of care no therapy or medication prescribed for months. Not at all impressed with this Dr. She acts annoyed when I accompany Mom on her visits (she's 85), is not proactive about testing for dementia or any cognitive decline, and does not take the time to fully understand how best to help her. She has not monitored medications to the point to where I suggested one may have a lighter dose and she agreed. I'm not the Dr here. Her assistant Sophia is responsive and tries but I'm afraid the experience is not what it should be. Will be looking for another Dr!
