Only an exceptional man gives rise to an exceptional doctor. After a month of pain and 2 previous appointments, with another doctor, for an infected corn on top of a bone spur, I saw Dr. Johnson. I am incredibly thankful for this thoughtful and compassionate doctor. As he examined my condition and later performed surgery, he detailed clearly what he was seeing, what he was doing during surgery and the possible recovery time. Dr. Johnson is warm, caring and responsive; exactly what you want from a surgeon. He did my left foot bunion successfully and I will be doing my right foot with him soon.
Dr. Johnson is awesome. Very caring very kind. I am so sad that he won’t be in the Westlake office anymore. I will be driving to Santa Barbara just to see him.
I'm not surprised by the positive reviews others have left for Dr. Johnson. He really is a rarity in today's healthcare system. Finding great doctors is rare. What makes them great is their offering real care and empathy and not a hastily written prescription or slap with a band-aid. Not just listening but asking questions.
