A year and a half after a surgery the had prior approval from insurance and the insurance paid the office emailed me a demand to pay $9000 no new bill no explanation why I would suddenly owe thousands of dollars. The best part is my partner got the same surgery same day same location same surgeon same insurance and she didn’t get this attempt to extort her. I had no problem with the surgeon but the office trying to get me to pay thousands for no reason kind ruined the whole thing.
Horrible experience. Cancelled my appointment two hours before because they already have a full schedule. Unprofessional and Andrew was very rude speaking over me when I called back.
Do not ignore the negative reviews online about this practice’s administrative staff. I did, assuming the doctor must be good enough to outweigh it. I was wrong. Dr. Mendelsohn is aware that his practice has major communication issues and has stated that he believes the way his office operates is appropriate and professional. During my experience, appointments were repeatedly scheduled or changed without my knowledge.
