Dr. Amos is a gem and I highly recommended him. BUT the office staff need education and training. I was on hold for almost 15 minutes for a simple insurance question. When I asked to speak to the office manager (Kristie) she defended it like it was totally normal to make a patient wait that long. I’m starting to think I was lied to and she really isn’t the office manager. Anyway…. I wish these doctors knew how important their front line office staff is to their reputation. I have been a patient of Dr. Amos for about ten years. I really appreciate his approach. I feel he really listens to me, he carefully explains treatment options well, and he listens to and answers my questions. I feel safe being under his care, and you can't say much better than that.
Great Doc
4 days after seeing the doctor and numerous phone calls later in an attempt to get a prior authorization approved for a prescription all I got was responses that never resulted in my prescription. Each time I was told by the person answering the phone that the nurse was working on the prior authorization and that I would be called ; that never happened and now it’s 4 or 5 days later and no medicine and no one reaching out to me. I hope this review gets to the Dr Amos .
When you are in the office, everything is fantastic. after surgery, I called to try and get a hold of someone in the office. Never got anyone from his office to call me, I even left messages with emergent and nothing. I finally had to call USMD to file a complaint and when I got some one this individual told me that someone would get a hold of me in minutes. I did get a call from his office manager.
