RUDE MANAGER - DOESN'T ACCEPT SERVICE DOGS! Apparently, the lady (who only, later identified herself as the manager after I asked to speak with one) doesn't know the 1992 American Disabilities Act, or the difference between a service dog and emotional support dog. BEDBUGS! We spent 3 nights at the Downtowner. Friday night to Monday am. Sunday night I noticed a couple of red bite marks, nothing concerning. Monday afternoon I noticed over 10 clusters of 3 red inflamed bites. Typical signs of bedbugs. The minor sightings of dead and alive cockraoches were of little concern until the confirmation of bedbugs. I have contacted the hotel to discuss the situation but have gotten no response. My husband and I are seniors. We checked in for 4 days. Upon arrival they suddenly lost my reservation and had to make a new one saying it wasn't pd for, but upon my bank statement it was! They also made us pay $100 deposit, which we haven't received as of yet and it's going on 2 weeks....however, they said it'd be returned within 3 to 5 days. They are rude in taking care of issues and are not as informing as they lead to be. They told me that they disclosed the terms and conditions and they didn't. I tired to be a upstanding citizen and not litter by throwing my empty cup on the ground and I just so happened to be smoking, and since I'm used to not making a mess was ashing my cigarette in the cup.
