Ya right. We have a provincial government expensive (and big) enough without a new Ministry! Small business owners have enough government costs and regulation thank you very much. Gov will lov your ideas to ever expand itself.
The DVBA is a collective of fear-mongers who think that some government workers working from home will cause a financial apocalypse and the death of downtown Victoria. They would rather have more traffic, increased pollution, and a harder time finding parking downtown just to force people into an antiquated office-centric model of work on the off-chance that they might buy an overpriced coffee. Victoria is a beautiful place but marred and tarnished greatly by the continued use and support of the exploitive horse carriage trade. Sad to see.
