Went to The Gulch for a couple of cocktails on a Saturday early evening and they had the best unique cocktails and the bartenders were amazing! The owners are always pleasant to visit with and their downtown location is just perfect for a drop by cocktail. A must try when on Helena!
Well preserved 1890’s to 1910’s historic downtown. Hard to imagine what was levelled during 1935 quake.
Downtown Helena is really cool. The 1800’s architecture is some of the best I’ve seen in the north west but it’s not tourist friendly. Very little free parking and we were hoping for a shopping district but didn’t find it. Many if not most of the businesses are private offices or they are empty or closed. Helena has the infrastructure to be the most amazing downtown experience you’ve ever seen but it’s just not there.
