We opted to not eat here last visit because of our immediate reaction to the cafeteria style seating. (described as another as 'spacious seating') Ventured in tonight, do to open tables... okay food, okay dessert and okay drinks, okay service. Experience in general, okay ... no intimacy at all. Not impressed with the design/ flow for this new construction. Underwhelming. We loved the old Downriggers.
Best view in Friday Harbor. Food and service was excellent.
I used to fly into Friday Harbor from Portland just to have their bacon cheese burgers and scratch chocolate shakes. Can't wait to try the new menu!

Great location and view and wonderful food. Only bad thing was the noise. Too many hard surfaces in that environment made it difficult to carry on a conversation with a person at the same table.
Great open and spacious seating! Very vibrant and clean. Gorgeous views! The staff was very friendly and they had some veggie options too for the vegetarians in our party. I liked their chicken burger and the local draft beer went nicely with it.
Loved it. Friendly staff, right on the waterfront...they let me stay and read even though they had a big party that evening coming in...they simply worked around me. I'll be back, for sure.
RAVE!!!! Downriggers did my son and his bride's rehearsal dinner and the food and service was awesome! This was even after 5 "party" crashers decided that they were having dinner with us � and they made it work and brought up more tables without a blink of the eye (or at least I didn't see it)! Thank you Debbie, Koshi, Crysta and all! ���
The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was excellent. We will definitely have to return.
