Wonderful food I love this place. I would recommend anyone stop in to eat, drink, or just hang out before aboarding the ferry. We went for lunch and had phenomonal service and food.

We took the WSF Samish from Anacortes to Friday Harbor on San Juan Island for a day trip. Stopped at Downriggers for lunch. EVERYTHING WAS GOOD, especially the clams and the broth they were cooked in...needed extra bread to sop it all up!
I had the Wayvu burger - very greasy. However, the view of the harbor was outstanding.
Really great dining experience, from the staff to the food (get the fish & chips!) to the gorgeous view. What really stood out was their extensive zero-proof beverage list, which included sparkling waters, shrubs, NA beers, AND a selection of mocktails made with non-alcoholic spirits (Seedlip).
Peter was fantastic. Give that boy a raise
If you have a big appetite, I heartily recommend the bouillabaisse. Lots of big pieces of halibut and salmon plus sea scallops, shrimp, and mussels in a wonderful broth.
