We are a 50’s-style diner located in Alliance, Ohio and have been in operation for over fifty years. We started as a Stewarts Root Beer drive-in and still serve Stewarts Root Beer on tap today. Great breakfast at a great price. Love the staff, too.
When we first moved here they were really good, we loved the Friday Fish fry. Hubby tried many dishes seemed to love them all. However the last 2 visits have been less than good. I know when new owners take over they need to make changes but lately you have to wait a long time for your fish, they are half the size they used to be as well. Tonight we ordered 2 more pieces at the time they brought our meal thinking it would be better but after waiting 35 minutes for it we left and we will not return. My Reuben was very good, and the fresh cut fries were awesome.
Food was good... service was a bit unfriendly and a bit irritated about that... my husband and I are regulars in there...

We went to Doug's for breakfast today. While the food was good and the waitress was nice she wasn't very attentive. I went half my meal with no drink because she didnt come back and my husband didnt get his omelet he ordered until we asked for it when he was done with the rest of the food and flagged the waitress down just to be asked if we wanted it to go. It would have been nice to have it with his actual meal.
