Dr. Escue and his staff are awsome!!! My son went to him until he was 16 and we never had to wait.
Dr. Escue and his staff are wonderful. All three of my children see Dr. Escue. One of my children would not let any dentist work on his teeth. I was pleasantly surprised when my son walked right into his appointment at Dr. Escue's office without protest.
For those whom do not know the reason they have the no parent policy is because children react differantly when there parents are around. I took my child to two dentist prier to Dr.Escue and she hated it. However when I took her to Dr. Escue she was at complete comfort. The service they provided was great. My suggestion to you is that if you do not like the thought of you not being allowed with your child during treatment then just dont take your child there and give the staff a hard time. Dr. Escue has been treating my daughter for 9 years, since she was 3 years old. Our experience has been no less than excellent concerning procedures and professionalism. Many friends and community members use Dr. Escue for their children, with the same positive results. A negative review concerning the policy re: parents not allowed in treatment room was completely atypical. The reason why? Dr Escue and his staff are wonderful.I was a little skeptic at first on their no parent policy.it worked great for my kids.If I would have been there with them they would have been all kind of trouble.being by themselves was great for their self esteem.Made them feel more grown up.Before the visit each kid got a letter from Dr Escue's office and they also got to take a picture with the Dr.My kids felt very comfortable there.
I took my daughter there for her first visit when she was 3, she did perfectly fine, and they told me she had no cavities. I took her back at 4 and she wasn't back there 5 minutes when they cane and got me, she was screaming they hurt her. Her arms were red, and they said she had no cavities they could see. How could they see? She was suppose to go back for her 5 ckup but when I called, they refused to allow me back there, even though she reacted the way she did last time. Dr. Escue is the best pediatric dentist. I have two boys, now aged 11 and 8 who have been seeing him since my oldes was 4. He's great with the boys. The boys call the treament rooms secret rooms. They think it is GREAT that they get to go back alone. It makes them feel 'so big'. I remember having my parents in the dental room with me as a child and they made it so much worse. WORST DENTIST MY DAUGHTER HAS EVER BEEN TO. SHE CAME OUT CRYING FOR HOURS AND STILL COMPLAINS ABOUT PAIN ON THE TOOTH SHE RECEIVED TREATMENT ON.
Dr. Escue practice is supposedly geared towards children HOWEVER he has a "no parents allowed" rule. My two year old son, who we recently adopted, needed extensive dental procedures. Our consultation went well but our first visit was a nightmare. Parents are not allowed to escort their children to treatment rooms.. period. The experience was so traumatic for my little boy when the assistant tried to take him back to the room that I left. I will never ever go back. What I want to know is what are they hiding?
