I recently had my first virtual appointment with Dr Shumaker and was surprised at how simple and personalized it was. Staff was enormously helpful in making sure I was prepared and that the technology worked. I’ve met with Dr Shumaker several times over the years and he has always been an excellent, compassionate listener with extensive knowledge and the ability to communicate that knowledge to the patient. He and his staff are exceptional and I recommend them without reservation.
I have been having issues for a few years and I decided to contact Dr Shumaker. We had to do a virtual and I couldn't believe how he was completely up to date on my health. He listened to every word and then made the decision to do a colonoscopy which too was a great experience. Now I believe as we wait the results that he will continue to work with me on this. Amazing man.
I have had colonoscopies with Dr. Shumaker before. On one he missed a cancer otherwise I believe he is good at his job. Recently I visited with him and thought I would be making an appointment for a colonoscopy. So far an appointment has not been made. I have not been given any reason for that not happening.
I have had a colonoscopy from Douglas Shumaker at the Oregon Clinic--Gastroenterology West on two occasions. Dr Shumaker and the staff at Gastroenterology West work together as a team to provide the two finest experiences I have had with any medical provider or facility. Dr. Shumaker was very professional yet personable and knowledgeably answered my questions. The staff was thoughtful, friendly and there was good follow-up.
