I have had a appointments but only see the PA. The PA is very nice and listens, but I have never even met the doctor. The process is too slow for remedies. I went with a different neurologist and he is making things happen and moving at a much faster pace to find a solution.
He told me that NOBODY has migraines after a TBI. He told me that I’m crazy for saying so and that I need to see a psychiatrist. I’m in therapy, way before the head injury. It was a really hurtful comment.
Dr Langford has always been very straightforward and answered all of my questions thoughtfully. He’s helped me try out different prescriptions/dosages until we found the right one. If you want someone who is going to listen to your symptoms, provide direct medical advice, and get you in and out without making you stay in his office longer than you need, he is a great choice. I did not care for him. He constantly talked over me and interrupted me while I was talking about my symptoms. I got the impression I was wasting his time. He prescribed a prescription that will hopefully help, and told me to follow up with my GP.
I was referred to see him from a recent ER visit. First off, he’s is now booking for July 2024. I was supposed to follow up with him within a week per ER Dr. They wouldn’t allow me to make an appointment and needed to see the ER report that was already on my file (they could see but still insisted on getting it from the hospital themselves) This process took over a week and then they denied me being seen. I guess getting a referral from a ER doctor is not good enough for them and they wasted my time.
