Family Physician Doug Johnston believes in the power of relationships. "I think of medicine as a partnership. It's my job to give good, sound medical advice, and it's up to the patient whether or not they want to take it. We work together to do what's best for them." Dr. Johnston is a dedicated family man with five children of his own. When it comes to taking care of other families, he has inside information. "I feel like I can actually give some practical advice to my patients, not that I have all the answers, but a lot of ... read more

Dr. Johnston always listens and offers different options for any treatment needed. Been with him about 15 years, and would never consider switching doctors. Great guy, and a knowledgeable doctor.
Business response:
Thank you so much, John, for your feedback and 5-star rating! We deeply appreciate your support. Thanks again.
My wife is an R.N. When I see a doctor, she comes with me. She uses her experience to gauge the proposed treatment of her most-favorite patient... me! We have an excellent feeling that Dr. Johnston knows his stuff. He actually convinced me to get a once-in-a-lifetime pneumonia shot. Took him 10 minutes to do it; I hate shots. However, I hate pneumonia worse. He could have taken my initial 'No' as an answer. Instead he gave me good reasons to change my mind. IMHO he has his patients' best interests in mind. I recommend him.

Dr. Johnston never seems rushed like other Dr.'s I have seen. He listens tentatively and always has great suggestions and advice that has helped me stay healthy over the years.

Three-years-ago I took my grand-daughter to Dr. Johnston for several years before she moved back home with her parents. He was excellent, kind, and thorough. She is now 18, returning to live with us, and again wants Dr. Johnston to be her primary care physician.
Knowledgeable and listens well.
Dr. Johnston listens very well and addresses all concerns. He explains things very well.
Dr Johnston does a good job and listens to me. It is the way the UT Health codes the billing. I do not know why or how I am getting a bill from them. I have two insurance companies. Blue cross and medicaid. Medicaid is supposed to pay for the rest of the bill. It does not. I have to call it in to medicaid. I am not going to pay the 177.00 to Ut health when I went to the emergency room. The bill was not filed right to the insurance companies. I did not get treated right by the emergency room doctors. I will go somewhere else ... read more
Easy to see he cares. Listens well. Covers all relative bases. Probably not given as much time as he would like with patients.
All good and happy with care.
