I rarely write negative reviews, but our recent stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Anaheim - Orange County was extremely disappointing—especially for a family trip that involved relatives traveling all the way from Virginia. Because we were unfamiliar with the area, we made several calls to hotels near Disneyland and specifically ruled out any properties that did not offer a shuttle service. I had a mixed experience at this hotel. When I first checked in, the front desk staff member I encountered was very rude and unhelpful. I asked about extending my stay for an extra night and was told to figure it out myself by calling Priceline or the Hilton 800 number, which I later found out wasn’t accurate, as she could have assisted me directly. UPDATE- You all DON’T want to make this right. You won’t even call me back after escalation department sent you the complaint. Of course everything you did was “perfect”. Just ask the person who doesn’t care and not even contact the customer. Stay away from this hotel! The people at the front desk, especially at night are useless. Simple requests like feather free pillows are entirely too much for this crew. Apparently those pillows are locked away in a vault somewhere inaccessible to staff who field requests from customers.... read more
