We booked this Double Tree because of brand reputation and location to our destination. Man, oh man, had we known. We did not feel safe in the parking lot, even in broad daylight. The pool, the main reason we chose this hotel (for our son), was dirty! The room was fine, general hotel room, nothing fancy. But it didn't feel clean, especially the floors. After working offshore 28 straight days, was really tired and decided to stop in nola to rest. I walk in to check for vacancy. The receptionist named Ana asked if I had a reservation and I said no I'm driving straight from work. She threw her head back and rolled her eyes and said oh gosh, we just got a new system and I dont know how to do a walk in. Made me feel real welcome! Most unprofessional staff at the front desk that I have ever encountered. They tried to check me into already occupied rooms twice and were rude about it. As a Hilton Diamond member, this is the worse hotel I have ever stayed in and this will be the last time.
