New remodeled rooms are very basic with poor layouts making things cramped. Refrigerator in the room didn't work. Ironing board in room is broken. Black out shades didn't work well with design. AC loud. The bar/restaurant is nice but doesn't open till 5. No beer served in the bar. Cookies were good.
First of all, I really wanted to leave after my stay and be able to give DoubleTree in Chattanooga a 4 to 5 star rating, that unfortunately cannot happen. I reserved a room for my wife and my 30th anniversary. I chose a King suite with whirlpool tub. Figured we could chill and relax and soak our older bones in a nice tub with jets. We would also have a couple days to chill comfortably in a place that has a sitting area with comfortable seating. Maybe take advantage of some room service, just unwind and enjoy. Clean rooms, needs updating. We stayed on the 9th floor.
