I stayed here 5 years ago and again this week. The rooms have been updated. The hotel is very CLEAN. The staff is friendly. Great breakfast buffet.
I have had two previous positive experiences at this hotel staying for work, but this last stay was not enjoyable. I was booked in a shared room that is seperate only by a door. You can hear every single sound from the room next door. As some other reviews state, the walls are paper thin and it is near impossible to sleep with people chatting and listening to TV next door. I understand booking groups traveling together like this, but pairing someone staying for business with a unrelated group makes zero sense.
As a diamond member I was shocked at the stay I had. When I booked on the hotel website I was not informed that the facility was undergoing a reservation. When I walked in their we signs saying the place was under renovation. I complained to the check in clerk, and they replied there are signs all over hotel. Since it was late and I had paid for the stay I hope to make the best of it. The hotel certainly needs to be renovated. I was surprised how rundown it was. The rooms are dated and basic amenities like late check out are not honored based on poor staff planning. Will be looking at other locations moving forward, as the area is nice but this hotel accommodation was out of the way, and only booked out of necessity.
If you want a decent night’s sleep, maybe look elsewhere… We booked a room and told them we would be arriving after 10 pm on Friday. They assigned us room 133 and sent us a digital key. “Great!” we thought, we can go straight to the room and sleep. We arrived a little after 1 AM on Saturday morning exhausted from a long flight. While we were walking to our room we noticed a sign that the hotel pool was used as a swim school. (More on that later…) Lo and behold, the digital key doesn’t work.
