Really cool place to stay. Had really neat indoor and outdoor space
it was a beautiful establishment, the staff was attentive to ensure that everything that our needs. The only thing is is the rooms kind of smelled a little mildewy... but that being said it’s Florida so it’s probably par for the course... it’s very pretty and safe so I would recommend staying there. The only disappointment was their breakfast.
Location is great, front desk people were so kind. The rooms have new furniture but the carpet is clearly old and kind of gross. The shower/bathroom was nasty! The shower floor was literally black 🤢
I stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Gainesville expecting a relaxing weekend. Unfortunately, that was not the case. On Sunday morning, the hotel began pressure washing outside, making it impossible to rest or sleep. The noise was extremely loud and intrusive, especially for a weekend morning. I called the front desk to express my concern, but nothing was done to address the issue. There was no warning, no apology, and no effort to move the cleaning to a more reasonable time of day.
