Double Horn was a town in central Texas that was formed in 1855. The town was founded at the headspring of Double Horn Creek and grew to a population of around 50 in 1884, complete with a school, churches, and a post office. Cool place...beer was great and so was the burger with cream cheese and jalapeños...can't remember our servers name but he was great too!!
The bison burger was excellent. The beer was so so. Everything they have tastes like an IPA. I dont want a hoppy stout or porter. It seems that all their beers are from the same receipt...they just add color to the stouts. Bartender is neither friendly nor knowledgeable. If you like IPA's this is your place.
Great Place for good food and cold beer.. And our waiter was great.. can't remember his name but he said he was from Alaska
I was very disappointed. I ordered the chicken fried chicken and it was burnt. The waiter never came to check on us. The other meal was ok. When I told the waiter my meal was burnt and had not eaten he said I am sorry and was our bill together or separate. Did not offer to exchange or something else. Our bill was separate and I got mine. 14.06 for a water and a meal I did not eat because it was burnt. I will never return nor will I promote to my staff. In fact I will let them know my experience and hope they dong go either.
The beer was ok. The waiter was clueless about the menu and the order had to be repeated several times. It still came out wrong and extra sides needed to be returned. The chicken fried steak was over cooked and mostly breading the gravy was too salty. The salmon came to the table cold. We had to get up and ask the bartender for assistance because waitstaff didn't check on the meal. The salmon was returned for a burger. The burger was served long after the fried steak was finished. I loved it. I got a burger � my cousin got a chicken sandwich both were delicious. Only complaint was our waiter was a little slow. Took him a long time to check on us and get refills.
