Dos Perros is located in the heart of downtown, meaning easy access! And gladly it is so, since so many locals absolutely enjoy dining here. The menu is pretty extensive and has quite a bit of variety. The rates may appear to be a little higher than you would expect for Mexican, but you certainly are paying for better quality. One interesting fact about Dos Perros is that they have a list of rarely-available beers. If you love Tacos, then don't miss the Monday Taco Special. Call for details.

I have always loved Dos Perros, but they outdid themselves today for our holiday celebration. Arturo was amazing to work with and the food was exceptional. Thank you so much for making our celebration such a hit!!!
Met some friends at the restaurant that I have known for 30 years but haven’t seen in 9 years! My first time at Dos Perros. The drinks were spectacular, the plantain dish was tasty and well received by all at the table. I had the fried Bass with vegetables on top. It was sooooo good. One of my friends got the oyster tacos. The oysters were fried well and delicious. Can’t wait to go back.

So glad we had the oppprtunity to host your party, and can't wait to see you again. Thanks for the lovely review!
First time. Concert at DPAC. 6:30ish on Saturday night but had a 3 minute wait. Terrific food, fun drinks, terrific staff, happening joint, yet cool sophistication prevailed. For myself, at 64, such pleasure to experience an atmosphere I haven't in 20 years. 20-30+ plus older than the crowd but staff treated me as equal/contemporary. I know it sounds trite to say, this was a great relief and pleasure to be treated as "belonging". Much to my chagrin as an aging DC native, many young sophisticates joints tend to make me feel o... read more

We're delighted to hear you had such a great time, Mary! And as one of the "older kids on the block" of the downtown Durham restaurant scene, we take a lot of pride in all our customers feeling like they belong at Dos Perros. "Cool sophistication prevails." Might put that on a bumper sticker! ❤️
Something has changed in the last year or so. Service still excellent, best guacamole, but the main dishes were just okay. The carnitas were just wet bbq pork, no caramelized bits. Red mole was average.
Business response:
