Very disappointed from seating to the long wait! Two tables were pulled together for our birthday party of five. When we requested a larger single table we were told NO! The table the was drug over to meet another table was so uneven and wobbly that the birthday guest had to use a newspaper found in the front desk to put under the table leg to get it even enough to use. I find Dooger's to be a reliable place to eat a meal, whether I'm alone or with a group. The food is excellent, the service is very good, and the staff (at least the top staff) has been there a long time. I usually go on a Sunday evening about 5 and have never had a bad experience there.
I usually eat there when I'm traveling the coast. My sister and I stopped by yesterday. I had raved about this place to her since Bremerton, WA. I had crab legs and she had the scallops. I never knew that crab turns woody when it's so over cooked and my sister's fork bounced off her scallops. When she told the server that our food was over cooked she said, "How is it over cooked?".... Uh it has been cooked way too long. They took the scallops off the bill. CLAM CHOWDER SUCKS AND WHEN YOU ORDER A BOWL VS A CUP THE BOWL IS HUGE BUTS ONLT 1/2 INCH DEEP NICE TRY. SERVICE NEEDS SOME SERIOUS HELP THEY DON'T COME BACK OFTEN AND TAKES THEM FOREVER TO GET YOU FOOD.. OTHER THAN THAT GREAT VIEW OF THE PARKING LOT..
