I've posted this multiple times and I will continue to post it. If you are on statin drugs (cholesterol lowering drugs)or you know someone who is then please watch this video.
This is a great article that exposes the connection of the brain with the gut. However, they fail to address the fact that our food supply is nearly void of nutrients. Rule of thumb, heal the gut first, then move on to the other problems.
This is very significant! I have been telling patients about the gut-brain connection. Leaky gut causes neuro-inflammation of the brain. It is not just Parkinson's but rather anxiety, depression, and dementia that is cause by problems in the gut. A major health concern today is with our diets and what it is doing the gut. The first thing to do is don't take anti-acids. This will mess you up. There is a lot of interesting research showing that gut health may be responsible. Not to mention all of the digestive problems that people are having. There are a lot of things that can help. Number one if you are taking antacids you need to take acid when you eat so your food is digested. We use Zypan, this is a great product. We also have probiotics and prEbiotics to help reestablish no... read more
"We have drifted into this deplorable position of national malnutrition quite inadvertently. It is the result of scientific research with the objective of finding the best ways to create foods that are non-perishable, that can be made by mass production methods in central factories, and distributed so cheaply that they can sweep all local competition from the market... They promote it as a good way to lower cholesterol (as though that is the answer to heart disease) and look at what you are eating.
