I found Dr Stafford to be somewhat condescending and selective in who he performed surgery. He told me they are selective now. He did spend a lot of time explaining but only wanted to treat me with gel injections. I went to another orthopedic for a second opinion and to a chiropractor and both could not believe that he told me I was not a candidate for surgery. Since then I have had hip replacement surgery from the second opinion doctor and doing well. The second doctor told me my hip joint was disintegrated. I would still b... read more

I have seen Dr. Stafford twice, both times he spent time to explain my issues in as much technical detail as I could digest. Very satisfied and highly recommend.
Short wait, which was great. Very friendly office staff. My opinion on the Dr. Is neutral right now. We’ll see how this goes.
Dr Stafford was very professional with the ability to make me comfortable. He took a great deal of time to explain why I was having my pain. He showed me an exercise that will strengthen the muscles in my leg and hip. He did mottrecommend His staff was friendly and attending. I would refer anyone that needs orthopedic surgery. Great physician!
He takes time to clearly explain treatment options and when treating you, he also takes time to be sure you are comfortable. He has a great personality. He did my rotator cuff surgery, and corporal tunnel surgery on my wife. He has a very friendly staff assisting him equally committed to a good experience. He is asst. prof. at UT Health downtown and enjoys staying in that mode. Wish I had an invitation to sit in his class even though it would be over my head!
Dr. Stanford operated on me 3 years ago for Carprel tunnel surgery . Very pleased with him and his staff. Highly recommend him.
