Dr. Messersmith is a superb clinician and a superb listener. He understands your concerns and answers every question.
Dr. Messersmith is friendly doctor with good bedside manners, but most importantly he is very competent. What I liked is that he inputted into a dictating machine in front of me, so I knew exactly what he was saying in the machine. He speaks with a high command of the English language and very very knowledgeable in his field of cardiology. I was very impressed.
Dr Messersmith is refreshingly direct, has a great sense of humor, tell’s it like it is and is a great clinician. I love the fact that he is clear, thorough and thoughtful.
Very knowledgeable and very caring. He actually listens to his patients. You would be hard pressed to find a more competent and caring MD.
Dr. Messersmith takes the time to understand and evaluate each situation. He never seems to be in a hurry and makes you feel like you're his number one priority. Wonderful bedside manner combined with an incredible amount of experience.
Office does not answer the phone. Does not call back. I am a patient of Dr Messersmith. I have called his office and left messages on three separate days this week with NO call back. I do not know how patients with urgent medical matters get through to talk to the MD? Seems like unsafe medical practice for a cardiology office to not answer their phone. Kevin Medical Social Worker
Dr. Messersmith sees you as a whole person. He listens carefully & explains what you need to know. My appt never felt rushed, which is rare! His personal warmth was professional, yet comforting. I dread meeting new doctors, because I have too many weird dxs. Some begin to get irritated, as if I'm a picky diner, asking a server too many questions, ordering substitutions & deliberately taking too much time & effort! But Dr. Messersmith mixed empathy with his positive approach & I left smiling! ??

Couldn’t be happier with his care. He is very caring and focused on his patients. He dictates his notes in front of you so you will know what is in the record and can ask any questions right then and there.
