Dr. Higgins has been the most amazing eye doctor that I have EVER come in contact with! Very kind and gentle man that is passionate about his work and the patients he cares for. Dr. Higgins has always been ready and willing to go above and beyond!! On another note the staff working at his office are wonderful and always a pleasure to be around.
Dr. Higgins is always up on the latest technology and always listens to his patients. Whether you have routine check ups or complex issues, he is equipped to handle both. I have been with Dr. Higgins for many years never plan on leaving!
I began seeing Dr. Higgins when I was in my early teens. For over twenty years, Dr. Higgins has taken excellent care of my vision. I have rather complicated vision issues that require specialized care. Dr. Higgins' knowledge base is extensive, especially with regards to dry eye syndrome and fitting contact lenses. He always gives me detailed and thorough explanations in addition to lots of reassurance that he can accommodate my medical needs. Doctor Higgins, always goes way above and beyond anything I could hope for in an eye doctor. He always has me in and out, but makes certain to answer any and all questions or concerns I have. The sweet woman at the desk called me is morning to let me know my contacts had come in (much earlier than I anticipated). As long as I still live in ct I know who will be caring for me and my vision!
Very good doctor, but my appointment was for 10:00 and I didn't see him until 10:45. The staff service, though, was awful. My glasses sat in the shop for two weeks before anyone called me to say they were ready, AND they got the order wrong so the glasses had to be sent back. For the $800+ I spent, six weeks is a long time to be kept waiting for a new pair of glasses.
Dr. Higgins is a very caring eye doctor who spends a lot of time with his patients. I never feel like he is rushing me out! His staff are very helpful when it comes to selecting eyeglass frames and the best prescription lenses to meet my needs.
Great doctor, very caring and knowledgeable. I had s bad infection and he called me himself the next day to be sure I was doing better. Told office it was an emengency and they got me in right away. Staff was very friendly and profesional . Highly recomend Dr Higgins to my friends.
