Horrific. Disabled for life. If you can still run, run away. Do NOT let this man conduct surgery on you. Do NOT let him conduct unnecessary procedures. DO seek second and third opinions. DO research. I was a patient for approximately 2 years before I made the critical mistake of trusting his recommendation for surgery. He LIED to me as to the reason for surgery and how he would correct a recurring neuroma, he LIED to me about recovery, he LIED to me about the necessity for additional procedures of which I was asymptomatic. Dr. H is not for everybody. I am lucky to "inherit" him from his deceased partner. For decades he has sensitively, regularly, successfully treated my ongoing foot drop, diagnosed/treated new or temporary ones (gout, broken foot, diabetes, etc.). He works fast & efficiently TO MINIMIZE MY PAIN. Staff are busy as well. None are fake auto- "smilers" but friendly & kind. Any questions are asked & answered during treatment: no wasted time or babying - I have a primary for that. Dr. H is the best 4 me

Dr. Hershman places excessive focus in providing his patients with orthotics as quickly as insurance companies will cover them as opposed to listening to his patients and his patients' needs. This single behavior takes much away from Dr. Hershman being a fine doctor which he easily could be.

zero stars. Hershman is impatient, rushed, and does not listen to his patients. He refused to image/treat my foot after I sustained a fracture and I now, at age 35, have permanent arthritis due to walking on a fractured food. He attempted to inject cortisone which resulted in extreme pain and no mobility for two weeks despite his claim the injection would have "no side effects other than feeling great." He tried to sell me orthotics I didn't need rather than reviewing or treating my injury.

I was referred to Dr. Hershman by my primary care doctor and requested an appointment through this website. After a week of no reply, I called his office and was immediately put on hold. Finally when I spoke to someone I explained that no one had returned my request I was rudely told that appointments are not taken online and that Dr Hershman does not have a website. My first encounter has not been a pleasant experience and I so I will not receive any care by this provider.
