I purchased my used F350 from Don Wood 3/18/22. Prior to the purchase it took several attempts to get someone to call me back. I was able to purchase the vehicle from out of state. The documents were easy, and the sales rep *** was fine. However, when I received my truck from transport, it had 7 miles to empty and was not detailed. I contemplated whether to write this or not and decided others needed to know. I was told that Don Wood **** was a good place to deal with when buying a used vehicle. Buyer beware...they are very dishonest. My husband bought a Truck and asked them TWICE if the frame was ok. He was told yes, it had a 50 point inspection and all was good A week later he took it to have some work done on it, ( the low beam lights didn't work) when it was put up on the rack the repair guy called him over to see the frame...I guess their 50 point... read more

These guys are liars and scam artists. They make deals at the time of sale that they don’t hold up to. Then they avoid calling you back and avoid getting your vehicle in for service. Then when they do they tell you a lie about what’s wrong with it and keep the vehicle for 3 weeks only to return it having ran all your fuel out and lie to you again about how far they drove it. They’ll tell you they put 100 miles on it to make sure they fixed the problem but in truth they put over 400 miles on the vehicle and still didn’t fix i... read more

We very recently purchased a 2017 Ford F-150 truck from the Athens branch of Don Wood. A few weeks after purchasing the truck, we noticed that heavy smoke began coming out of the exhaust. We kept an eye on it and it was becoming more persistent. We have since taken the truck to a Ford dealer as well as a second mechanic in Belpre, Ohio. It was discovered that at the minimum, all heads on the engine would need to be replaced. My husband and I purchased an 2008 Ford F150 From this company on 4/17/2020! The vehicle after tax title and interest was $8,891. We test drove the truck sign the papers and drove it home! Once we got it home we smelt something hot but assumed we were being paranoid because it was a used vehicle! BEWARE OF THESE SCAMMERS!!! THIS DEALERSHIP SCAMMED ME ON THE PURCHASE OF A 2012 CHEVY EQUINOX AND CONCEALED MAJOR ENGINE ISSUES IN ORDER TO GET THE SALE. NOT TO MENTION WE PAID WAY MORE THAN THE CAR WAS WORTH! THEY KNEW OUR SITUATION WAS DESPERATE AND WE NEEDED A VEHICLE THAT DAY WHICH THEY TOOK TO THEIR FULL ADVANTAGE! Purchased a used 2006 Dodge Truck from Don Wood Jeep/Dodge. When test driving the truck, which was a manual transmission, I discovered the emergency brake didn't work. I mentioned that it would need fixed before I would make an offer on the truck. They said if I wanted to pay for the e- brakes to be fixed, they would have to tack on another $695 to the price.
