I chose Dr. Don as my son's pediatrician as soon as he was born and again for my daughter 10 years later (he was actually my doctor as a child). When my daughter had to be hospitalized, he went out of his way to be there as much as possible - even personally calling to check on us more than once. This was my daughter very first appointment. We only went to him because the pediatrician we use is out on leave.. I already felt unsure about him but my daughter needed her check up. When he walked in the room he immediately started working on my baby, Didn’t try to make a connection with me or my baby. He then rip my baby umbilical cord out and proceeds to wipe the area with a alcohol wipe which I know burned because my 5 day old baby screamed her little lungs out then he said he followed up with silver nitrate which I don... read more
Everything Dr.Schaffer is the best they really do not make caring doctors like him anymore.i adopted my daughter back in 2011 and she has been with him ever since.Thank You Dr.
This doctor does not connect with the children at all. Like another reviewer said so well, he shows no genuine concern for the children. My 2 year old son was already uptight seeing that he has not had a visit in a year and I had done my best to prep him (knowing that he’s never truly enjoyed going). He is a nice doctor.. we've been going to his clinic from past 4 years.. he is PCP of both my kids.. experienced and intelligent doctor.
Dr Schaffer is the best. I am a PRO at this because I have been knowing him for at least 30 years. He has treated my grandchildren and now is treating my great-grands. He is very patient and kind. He diagnosis and treat his cases with no hesitation.
Dr. Schaffer has established a great doctor-patient relationship with our family! He is very thorough, and he listens and asks questions. He has always taken great care of us, and we highly recommend him.
