I have been seeing Dr. Dompenceil for several years. She is the best neurologist I've ever had. I have chronic migraines and she has been able to pinpoint related symptoms and conditions, provide the best advice, medication that actually helps, and she is very easy to talk to. Dr. Dompenceil takes the time to explain everything and provide a treatment plan that works for me individually. I cannot say enough good about her. She is amazing.
Dr. D is the best, one of the few docs left that truly cares about her patients and listens. All the bad reviews are about the office, not the doc! She is the only one who told me what was going on just based on history and physical, since all my tests were normal (which they can be in my condition). Fast forward 5+ years, and i now have a positive test showing significant progression even with treatment. If she didn't start treatment when she did, i would probably be wheelchair bound by now! The phone system is terrible. I have a test scheduled and I was trying to find out what was involved. Put on hold with no response!
I see Dr. Dompenciel for management of my migraines. She listens, which is so important when it comes to treating migraines. I think she is a very good doctor. The office, however, leaves much to be desired. I wrote this review after seeing the negative reviews because the doctor went on medical leave... It's not the fault of the doctor that Cleveland Clinic can't properly staff for unexpected emergencies. The first time I walked in, I didn't realize you needed to check in via kiosk. Horrible experience with this office, my father had an appointment with Dr Dompenciel. They called us to cancel because she was sick, the new appointment was a month later. On the second appointment they cancel on us at the office saying the Dr had surgery and she was unavailable. The new appointment would have been for a month and a half later so they gave us an appointment with her nurse which it was 1 week later, on the day of the appointment they called us to say the nurse didn’t go and the Dr still unavailable!! 3 times... read more
