Our Business Goal To educate the general public on the historical geology of the Appalachian Mountains, how they were formed and what can be found here. Doc's Rocks Gem Mine is an Appalachian Mountain based gemstone mining operation. We purchase mine ore by the ton from local gemstone mines located in North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia and Tennessee. What a great experience we had at DOC'S ROCKS! Doc and his staff were great with my children and very knowledgeable. We had an educational and fun time. It was one of the highlights of our trip!!

My twin sis and I drove over from KY for our birthday. Everyone there is SUPER friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great time! We are currently getting about 4 stones cut, can't wait to see how they turn out! Already planning our next trip back :-)
