About this business

Specialties Lively New Orleans-based chain offering oysters, po' boys, gumbo & other Cajun-Creole classics. History Established in 1910. At first glance it looks like a nice place inside. Sat down at our tables in very uncomfortable chairs! My husband ordered a dozen charbroiled oysters and a bowl of chicken and andouille gumbo. He said his oysters were among the top 5 best oysters he had and order a 2nd dozen! His gumbo was a thick and bland sludge in a bowl with rice, wasn't impressed. I ordered the shrimp and Tasso pasta. It was good. Would have been nice if there was whole shrimp pieces in this pasta. The chicken that comes with it was good. My 10yo daugh... read more

Boudin stuffed mushrooms are absolutely amazing, the house sangria is lovely, the chicken and andouille gumbo is delicious, the char-grilled oysters are fantastic, the cheesecake is delectable (and huge!), and the service is wonderful. Positively love this place, will definitely be a repeat customer!

Business response:

Thank you!!!

Heads & Tails has a plain strip mall exterior, but the interior is fresh, new, clean, and designed to look like a Cajun cabin. The waitress was good, and we enjoyed the food and fair prices. I ordered the Fish & Shrimp Platter (fried), which came with a delicious dinner salad. My partners shared a Seafood Platter (fried), which was stacked, high. The only complaint, was that one of the adults remarked that the batter was not seasoned, enough, although I didn't see that. We would recommend this place, and return. RJT
