We ate at Ernie's several times for early dinner on our vacation and highly recommend it. The outdoor deck was scenic and relaxing. We had good waiters and service each dinner. The food was amazing! Every appetizer we had was exceptional. The shrimp was fresh, the oysters were tasty, the fish dinners were scrumptious, the pasta alfredo is the best alfredo dish I have ever had. First date night in awhile, drove all the way from Freeport and was very excited because the menu sounded delicious. Upon arrival it was very clear they had some organization and staffing issues. Only one hostess who ran around the restaurant like a chicken with a head cut off. She was obviously very stressed because when she walked up, instead of greeting us, put her head in her hands for 10 seconds and then asked me how many I had. We love Dockside but I don't recommend the restaurant to anyone on a holiday. We arrived on Mother's Day, fully prepared to wait. It was a nightmare. There was no organization and the establishment was way understaffed. While waiting, there must have been 30 people in the lobby, half trying to get their name on a waiting list that the hostess just made on an order pad. Horribly understaffed leading to poor service. Jambalaya was dry, steamed shrimp were either reheated or over steamed. Appetizers served after the main course was halfway consumed.
I love Chef Ernie, his family, and entire staff....always smiling, friendly, excellent service and food! You will feel like family! LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! YOU GUYS!
Had an amazing dinner at Dockside. Food and service was exceptional. Definitely a great experience and will definitely be back:)
We were there tonight and all I can say is wow! Great food, great service, and great atmosphere !!!! Everything was so amazing we will definitely be back! I highly recommend 5 stars from me!
