After 5 yrs of my daughter explaining she gained 50 lbs in 2 yrs and being laughingly told by a nurse “that she is just obese, fat, lying to herself about what she eats, she needs a physciatrist and nutritionist not an endocrinologist” I made her an appt with my endo at Tufts and Lahey is refusing to give her a referral. My daughter has a tumor in her pituitary gland, possible Cushing’s Disease or CAH. Tests are being immediately run by Tufts. Unthinkable that a referral is refused.
