Not "really" chili Dixons is pretty good, but it's not like traditional chili that you'd think of. The restaurant is old and dumpy and really hot in the summer. We come here once or twice a year because they always have good coupons in the Entertainment Book. I love the spaghetti and chili, and my husband loves the burrito.
The BEST, if you ask me This is the original location for Dixon's. It's been around forever... Harry S Truman used to eat here at this very location. You will leave stuffed. Try the "spread"... it's fresh tamales with chili meat and beans over the top. All-you-can-eat tacos every day of the week! Our friends meet here at least once a month and whoever eats the fewest tacos pays the bill for everyone! :-)
yummy This place has been here for years and years. I remember eating her as a little girl. Their food is great. You can get your chili any way you like it. Thick or soupy or hot, etc. They also feature mexican food with burrito's or taco salads. Great, great place.
Split Decision Our family is split on the yumminess of Dixon's Chili Parlor. Most of the family loves their food from the chili dogs to the chili cheese fries. I'm not overly fond of they way it is served with grease and meat on the side. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is unique.
RecommendedAbsolutely excellent service. Great food. If you have never been to Dixon’s Chili, you should definitely give it a try!

First time. very filling and delicious. Had a tamale and chili with meat and beans, cheese and onions. had the "soup and juice" on the side to try them both. the chili pepper vinegar was great, too.
