About this business

I am a graduate of the Rolf Institute in Boulder, Colorado. I decided to pursue Rolfing after experiencing the amazing benefits in my own body after just a few sessions. I am also a Nationally Certified Colorado State registered Massage Therapist. I have always loved the outdoors and enjoyed being active--having the ability to do whatever I wanted to do, be it playing volleyball, backpacking, snowshoeing, or doing triathlons. I strive to find the right balance in life and in my body, and Rolfing has been an integral part of ... read more

I am very thankful that my path crossed with Dixie , she is an amazing person and an amazing Rolfer as well! Although having never heard of Rolfing, I was eager to know more about it to see if it could help relieve the tension in my body due to stress. Being a business owner myself along with having 4 sons and many schedules in our household my usual choice for help to relieve pain and tension was massage therapy but I was willing to give Rolfing a try and I am so glad I did! After my first Rolfing session I felt relaxed and... read more

I was aware of Rolfing but had never had more than 10 minutes of work at a time - mostly because it was so painful. As a Chiropractor I had heard about Rolfing and how uncomfortable it can be. After meeting Dixie I decided that my body was beat up and broken enough that I needed to just suck it up and get it done. I purchased the 10 session program and was surprised by how comfortable the treatments were. Over a year later and I can say that my improvements have been maintained. Dixie has a great touch and has given me a muc... read more

I have been working with Dixie on lower back pain and posture. Prior to rolfing I tried physical therapy, yoga, and chiropractic adjustments with some benefit, but through my ongoing treatment I have experienced a significant reduction in pain (as in, no longer need to go to bed with a hot pad every night!) and am able to see, an improvement in my posture. In fact, there was one particular session where we observed the tracking of my knees and both saw significant change before and after the session. I highly recommend rolfi... read more

I struggle...STRUGGLE...with severe spine issues which have started to branch out into my hips, feet, shoulders...Dixie has provided me with amazing relief that enables me to function almost back to normal (as we often discuss, I am a work in progress). She always takes the time to check in with me to make sure we are addressing the many issues I suffer from in order to ensure my best chance to feeling better. Rolfing has been life changing for me and I could not thank Dixie enough. It is more than deep tissue massage...it i... read more

I've been an athlete my whole life, playing football and lacrosse, snowboarding, and now CrossFitting; all of which have beaten my body up pretty bad. Recovery was never really a part of my athletic routine until I started CrossFit 2 years ago. Since then, recovery is one of the most important aspects of my fitness routine. I typically get massages in order to relax sore muscles, but I decided to step up my game and take a more focused approach with Rolfing; where I'm not just massaging sore muscles, but actually restoring b... read more

I have been seeing Dixie, every two weeks, for massage work since she began her practice. She takes the time to understand your concerns, researches different methods of addressing problem areas and is always 100% professional. I couldn't get through a week comfortably without her help.

Business response:

Has been great working with you through the years, Elissa!

Always having to twist my back or crack my own neck - not anymore. And with rolphing, there are so many cool techniques I've never heard of that I leave and try to explain to others. And I have a monthly massage membership, and yeah, they're good but not eye opening!

After 22 years of physical therapy for a spinal injury, I discovered Dixie and Rolfing. Where physical therapy left off, Rolfing picked up. I went through the series of 10 appointments for maximum benefit but have since been able to focus each appointment where I needed it most to address a string of injuries. Rolfing loosens me up and enhances other treatments and always reveals where I've made progress and where I need to work more to achieve muscular balance, improved posture, pain reduction, and general physical symmetry... read more
