People in the area deserve to get their energy with reduced costs, not having to buy it from some third party who only exists to charge premium rates and other excess fees. They don’t produce energy, but sell it to you at a rate much higher than if you got it from the actual energy company. You’re a joke DEMCO.
How does the CEO of this nonprofit make a salary of $330,000, numbers given by himself. We aren't members we are forced customers in a corrupt monopoly ran essential utility service.
The website is terrible and glitch. The app is awful. The employees aren't transparent when you speak with them. Business hours aren't listed. The google number is disconnected. Its an 800 number that you can barely get a person on the line. Imagine if they were allowed to have competition instead of monopolizing.
Power was out for late 9/21 until early 9/23. From late Friday when it went out until early Sunday we received messages ever hour saying it will be on in an hour. I called 9/24 to see if an adjustment could be made to my bill for not having power for most of the weekend and they acted like i was crazy asking for such a thing. Very disappointing. I will say the guys thay were out here fixing it worked very hard but they didn't work for demco though.
In short, they are thieves. They charge you 5% to extend your bill to the middle or the end of the month. I asked them if they could simply move the billing date instead of charging me 5% every month and they claim that they can't do that. This is done on purpose in order to take advantage of people. Never mind the fact that once or twice a year for the last 6 years they will magically triple the price of my bill.
