Carolyn Michelle and Jackie all played a role in our labor and birth story! I can’t say enough good things about this team and how well supported my partner and I felt. Amazing experience from start to finish and their doulas even have training in babywearing and more! Michele attended our birth and was so knowledgeable and supportive! I am so happy she was with us and she really made it so i could have the birth I wanted. She was physically and emotionally supportive using counter pressure and affirmations to keep my pain managed and keep my head in the game!
District Doulas is an amazing trio of women who will help with all things birth. I worked with Carolyn, but all 3 are lovely, kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I used them in support of my second birth. I ended up having an unmedicated (pain medicine) induction and was very happy with my birth experience and the support that Carolyn provided.
I had and am having a wonderful experience with District Doulas. I was referred to them by a friend as our former doula moved out of the area and across the country. We were heart broken and wondered how we would have another birth without her. After contacting District Doulas, I felt very reassured that we could still have a positive birth experience. This was our second time working with Michele and once again she went absolutely above and beyond. In the middle of my pregnancy, when I was unsatisfied with my prenatal care and lack of midwives in the GW system, she advised us to consider home birth and helped put us in touch with our wonderful midwife from our first child's birth who had since moved to a home midwifery practice.
