I worked with District Doulas for the birth of my first child. I decided to work with a doula because I had a lot of anxiety about birth. After having a less-than-positive experience with a doula during my first birth in 2019, I was looking for a new team. We honestly can't say enough about how wonderful District Doulas was. The lead up to the birth was really great: Michele and the whole crew were so helpful and vital in the months before baby came, giving us context and arming us with info. about what to expect and how to approach the process. We had a wonderful experience with District Doulas. They're kind and non-judgmental. They're all about helping you have the birth experience you want, not imposing their beliefs on you. And they lead with the facts. I highly recommend starting with them early in your pregnancy so you can take advantage of their classes.
