We honestly can't say enough about how wonderful District Doulas was. The lead up to the birth was really great: Michele and the whole crew were so helpful and vital in the months before baby came, giving us context and arming us with info. about what to expect and how to approach the process. We had a wonderful experience with District Doulas. They're kind and non-judgmental. They're all about helping you have the birth experience you want, not imposing their beliefs on you. And they lead with the facts. I highly recommend starting with them early in your pregnancy so you can take advantage of their classes. If you're considering a doula for your birth, don't wait to work with District Doulas. Carolyn was our doula and she is a huge reason why we had such a positive birth experience at the hospital and first week home. Carolyn knew exactly what I needed throughout my labor and worked exceptionally well with the nurses and doctors to make sure I felt prepared and calm. Hire District Doulas! I cannot recommend them enough. Carolyn attended both of my births (in 2023 and 2025). What I remember the most is her calming, grounding presence throughout the births.
