Food was delicious, the kitchen was super slow. Had tickets to Hamilton and barely made it. Our bar tender was great, but the kitchen could not care less about our agenda. We ordered off the Hamilton special that was offered, one would think the kitchen would have enough sense to get us out and to the show in an appropriate amount of time, not 12 mins to curtain.
The value isn’t there. We had rock hard bread, the dinner came before the appetizers. The flavor wasn’t very exciting or distinct. My wife’s gnocchi arrived at room temp and got cold fast. So surprising to have such an underwhelming experience for one of the few dining options in the theater district.
The server was friendly and knowledgeable and the food was fresh and enticing. I had the grilled swordfish and now it’s in my top ten favorite dishes. Great location too.
Jan and I had a wonderful meal after the theater last evening. Great hours: open at 3pm. Food had excellent quality and variety. Great wines and cocktails. When I'm really impressed with a restaurant and don't want the experience to end I order a port wine after dinner and sip and enjoy. I did. Avi , our server was very attentive, warm and knowledgeable. GM, Eric McIntyre came by to say hi. Our first visit, but we assured him we would be back.
My husband and I had dinner at the District before a concert at the Playhouse. We had excellent service, friendly staff and the meal was delicious. I had the fresh vegetable soup and salad and my husband had the swordfish. We both loved the food and we will definitely return to the District for dinner.
Excellent food! Very well prepared, but had to go 4 stars, only for the little friend in the water glass....
Service was very good. Food was unique but only slightly above average. Decor was a little more stark then I expected.
