I absolutely adore the therapist I see at Distinctive Counseling. She has treated both me & my child (a disabled 5 year old) at separate times, and I could not possibly speak more highly of her.

This counseling center is the best in the Corpus Christi area! They offer individual counseling, couples counseling, play therapy, EMDR and services for ages 3 and up! There is always free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in waiting rooms, it’s clean, and free snacks are available for kids! They accept cash pay and insurance and offer virtual therapy sessions. The environment feels safe and comfortable and the counselors are just amazing and so kind.

I went into this place feeling hopeful. Now I am disappointed and discouraged. I arranged to have an appointment with a counselor yesterday at 3:00 yesterday. I arrived, rung the bell, waited 10 minutes, nothing. Then I call the office number and the receptionist answers. I ask her to confirm that I did in fact have an appointment today. She said yes, and that she would let the counselor know I was here. Wait another 20 minutes and still nothing. At this point I am upset.
