The entrance to the Disney world says “the happiest place on earth”, however it is a LIE. The service of this resort from the moment we entered was very very bad. We came after a cruise (not a Disney cruise) to show our parents the world of Disney for the first time in their lives. Our group of 4 adults & 1 child was loaded into a room with 1 queen bed & a very uncomfortable sofa that we have to convert to a bed on our own! Sadly we paid a fortune to get that room! DVC member for a million years. Kidani village my home base. I took my points from the year before, this year, and borrowed from next year so I could year 8 other family members, as well as my family to Disney so this means a ton. At the pool, the people are without comparison. Kyle (life guard) is as nice as they come. I’m sure she’s heard every Dad joke. Super nice, funny, and reciprocated the fun. I’ve seen it all, she is awesome. I can only hope we made it as fun for her as she made it for us. She’s the best.
DVC Member. Been staying here periodically since it opened. Good hotel. Great amenities. Beginning to look a little run down, but they are beginning to refurbish it. Good eye for detail as with all things Disney. Unfortunately, someone vandalized my vehicle in the parking garage this trip. Minor damage so not as bad as it could have been. Disney’s security policies made it necessary to go through my insurance company to file a claim or hire a lawyer to seek restitution. It’s unfortunate. As an older parent and it being super hot, this was my favorite part of Disney World. Just hanging out on the hotel room balcony and watching the animals feeding and playing.
