I've never been to discovery green, but I had intended on visiting to play Pokémon Go. Looks like that's not happening. Lame.

Shortsighted owners should just rename it No Discovery Green
What I wanna know is why do you allow the NCAA, NFL, etc. to host events where the crowd is filled to capacity, littering is much more likely to happen, and loitering and misconduct are much more prevalent, but decide to push out natives and Newstonians who WANT to go to your park. Not to mention the benches on the perimeter of the park are almost always occupied by the homeless. Logic went out the window with this decision.
Very disappointed in the shortsightedness and greed of the Park Conservancy. Unacceptable to shut out Pokemon Go players. Recently a group of players organized a cleanup of another park, trash bags in hand while they played. I have found fellow players to be a considerate, friendly bunch. We're done going to Discovery Green for any reason.
