Discount Tire & Auto Repair of Margate. Deserving of less than 1 star. The technicians are careless. I had my oil changed at their shop. The engine splash under cover was not securely fastened by their technician. The cover disengaged and broke off as I was driving. There are fragments that are still connected to the vehicle. They did not obtain a replacement cover. Proceed with caution, double check their work, and don't trust the quality of oil.
1 star only because I had to give them a star to write a review. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!! I went in for a tire patch. ($15 not bad!) but then the troubles started. I was there for over an hour and a half, finally I asked if my car was done, it was, who knows how long it was done before I got it because the elder man at the front desk was pretending as if he didn't hear my questions. Have been a customer for a long time but today walked out in disgust and not returning. Prices depend on who is at the counter at the time you walk in. One day a tire fix is $15 another day it's $25. No prices posted and they don't honor their website oil change advertised price, so don't even bother asking. That's for most cars and of course YOUR CAR is not one of them.
I went to discount tire& auto repair to have the tire repair, tire rotation,and wheel lug (the mechanic wasn't able to remove on of the lugs from the spare tire ). After waiting three hours for the car to be fixed and the manager being very rude and unprofessional. Honestly I believed they took care of the job. Unfortunately, when I came home the wheels /tires they were smoking hot, with a strong odor of hot steel . Obviously this is a safety issue. Please some advice .
WORST WORST PLACE EVER!!!!! STAY AWAY !!! MOUNTED THE WRONG SIZED TIRES ON MY CAR !! TIRES WERE "SUPPOSEDLY NEW" THEY WERE NOT !!! ALMOST DIED BECAUSE OF THEIR FAULTY WORKMANSHIP!! PLUS THEY OBVIOUSLY WOULD NOT TAKE FAULT IN THEIR CARELESSNESS AND DID NOT EVEN BOTHER TO GIVE ME A REFUND OR ANYTHING HAD TO BUY TOTALLY NEW TIRES ELSE WHERE ON TOP OF THE MONEY I WASTED WITH THEM FOR TIRES THAT ONLY LASTED ME A MONTH!!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR OR YOUR LIFE DON'T RECOMMEND IT AT ALL!!!
