We made a special trip from Newport News to the Outer Banks today, as we sometimes do, just to eat lunch at Dirty Dick's. Three of us ate the all you can eat crab legs and shrimp, the other a broiled seafood platter. As always, the food was delicious. We have never received bad service but today we got the royal treatment from our server John (The Only John). Our group can be quite demanding when dining "all you can eat" but John stood the test.
Manager was very rude. Would not come to our table. Waited 45 minutes for an omelet she cooked. Burned and not the right ingredients. Drove out of our way to get there. Buffet sucked. Will never eat there again.
Best fried gator I've ever had!
Son ordered fish sandwich, not sure what kind of fish, taste was bland. Ribs were tough, sides were okay. Daughter ordered shrimp, it was overcooked. We figured it's a crab place, youngest son got the crab newburgh, he said it was fantastic. So if crab is your thing it's the place to be, I'm guessing.
Dirty Dick’s is my summer OBX beach tradition 😋 I love to chill there for lunch and ice-cold beers during the week. Awesome wait staff! Gotta buy one of their t-shirts! All you can eat meals are worth the price 💰
Food was not tasteful. Ribs were Tuff, and the spaghetti was to actually die for, but luckily Jack did live. Will NEVER return there, nor recommend Dirty Dicks to anyone! Service was great as you can see the server in one of the photos. So friendly and helpful. He is working at the wrong restaurant l. Blessings much needed here🙏🏻☺️
The atmosphere and decor is cute, fun and family friendly. The waiter was friendly and joked around with us, he made us feel welcome. The food was awesome. My husband and I got the alligator appetizer and the Trinity dinner for two with the dungeoness crab. The hush puppies were fabulous. Dirty Dicks is on our list of favorite restaurants.
