As a medical professional myself I was very disappointed in our care at DOC. I took my son in for a sore ankle, they told me it was broken so they splinted him and told us no weight bearing. This was summer time and my son is an 8 yo adhd boy who needs lots of energy output and sensory input, so this was very challenging instructions but understood the importance at the time. Dr. Neilson and staff were excellent. I was able to get in early due to a cancellation. Evaluation and treatment were fast and effective! Thank you!
After checking-in I waited over 25 minutes in the lobby. I would prefer reception to set the expectation of wait time; Anything over 15 minutes, just let me know at check-in. I chose to leave and drove to St. Alphonsus urgent orthopedic care on N. 10 mile Rd. I was in the doctor's office in less than 5 minutes.
